Pizza Box Composting Project
After partnering with University Housing and a local composting facility, Waste Reduction created a campaign to encourage students to compost pizza boxes. I was responsible for the overall design of the recycling receptacles, which included designing a logo and all related collateral, creating icons and laying out instructional signs, and making an infographic educating students on the composting process. Initially three bins were painted and placed around campus, and since being implemented the program has doubled in size. In April of this year, NC State was honored with The Outstanding College or University Program Award from the Carolina Recycling Association in recognition of the success of the program.
